Canvas List
The Canvas List, located on the left side of the screen, holds all the canvases that make up your scene. One canvas is active at a time, indicated by a highlight around its thumbnail.
Switching Between Canvases
- Tap on a thumbnail to make it the active canvas. Tools that act on a specific canvas (e.g., Selection, Projection, Add New Canvas) will affect the active canvas.
- In Draw Mode, switching canvases moves your view to be parallel to the newly active canvas. If your current view is already parallel, the camera remains in place.
- In View Mode, switching canvases does not move the camera, allowing you to use tools like Projection or view canvases in context when paired with the Transparency Toggle .
Expanding the Canvas List
In its Default View, the Canvas List shows you the thumbnails of your canvases, as well as the Canvas Picker and Transparency Toggle tools.
If you drag the menu handle to the right, you’ll see the Expanded View of the list. It shows you the name of each canvas and reveals some additional tools for navigating your scene.
Canvas List Tools
- Hide All Canvases : Hides all but the active canvas.
- Show All Canvases : Reveals all hidden canvases.
- Rehome Canvas : Centers and scales the active canvas to fit the main view.
- Canvas Picker : Lets you visually choose a new active canvas by dragging your pen over it.
- Transparency Toggle : Fades out inactive canvases to highlight your current canvas in context. Tap again to remove the fade.
You can also control the visibility of individual canvases by toggling the eye icon next to each canvas name.
In View Mode, you can tap the active canvas thumbnail to see the borders of its content.
Managing Canvases
To manage a canvas, hold down on its thumbnail or name to reveal the following options:
- Reorder: Drag the canvas to a new position in the list. The order of canvases is solely for organization and doesn’t affect how your scene looks.
- Delete: Permanently remove the canvas from your scene.
- Rename: Tap to bring up the keyboard and give your canvas a new, descriptive name.
- Add Link: Make the canvas interactive in the web player by adding a link. The link can connect to a bookmark or an external site (see Links for details).
